I’ve decided that the easiest way for me to be a decent blogger is to constantly live my life, and at the same time watch my life as an outsider. My first realization of this was last friday. Let me fill you in first:

I just got married to Jadie on June 7th

I just moved into a different house as soon as we got back from our honeymoon 

I came back to work 2 weeks before the biggest event we do all year

I have had pretty much 3 days of rehearsals every week until today.

Oh yeah, the house had been vacant for 2 and a half weeks before we moved in. So needless to say, in north Florida, it’s time to cut the grass. Oh yeah, one more thing, Jadie’s mom and step-dad were coming in on friday. Friday was my first opportunity to cut the grass, and our yard is huge. This is where, looking back, I learned that I am just 24 and I don’t know everything.

Mistake # 1

I didn’t want to get my nice jeans dirty, so I grabbed some old ripped jeans from the drawer, and went outside. 

Mistake #2

I woke up early, but took my time actually getting going…let Jadie sleep, made some breakfast, watched some T.V.

Mistake #3

Didn’t have a great plan for the most effective way to cut this grass.

Mistake # 4

Didn’t look at the weather, or pay attention to the tremendous heat that I felt days prior.

Mistake #5

No Sunblock

Mistake # 6 

Too much pride and drive to stop early and put some Sunblock on.

RESULT:

Much Pain 

And after almost a week of Aloe…

So I say to myself, “Remember Clint, you ARE just 24…idiot.”
