For years, my favorite movie has been Pulp Fiction. I could go on and on about the brilliance of the writing, that dialogue, not action, keeps the film moving forward, the quality of actors that are used in the movie, and the brutal honesty that the film portrays in word, deed, and cinematography.

Tonight, Jadie and I went to see Quentin Tarantino’s new movie Inglorious Basterds…All I can say is… AMAZING. It’s not a movie I’d take my 6 year old neice to see, or maybe even my 18 year old sister to see. But for someone who likes RAW, IN YOUR FACE, BRILLIANT film making, this is the perfect movie.

This morning, Paul spoke on Ultimate Authority. It was packaged in a series called “Nine to Five” dealing with the workplace. However, when it comes to the principle that is being taught it is, “Ultimate Authority” straight out of the 7 Checkpoints.

However, as I listen to this talk, it makes me wonder: In Waumba Land, we have 3 vital truths that are taught over and over. In Upstreet, we have 3 more vital truths that are taught over and over. In Student Ministry, we have the 7 Checkpoints that are taught over and over… If we had to dial down what we taught in Adult service to “_ vital truths,” what would they be? How many of them would there be? I’m not sure, but I’d love to hear from some other minds about it.

LET ME KNOW…

On Monday, I decided I was going to give at least two blogs portraying the madness that is going on at RCC this week. So, I took a picture with my phone, e-mailed it to my inbox on my mac “Mail” and that is where it has sat…until today, that is, Saturday. My week was so hectic that I didn’t even have time to blog 1 sentance about how hectic it was. Here’s a Rundown:

Monday: Staff Meeting -> Lunch -> Picture -> WebSite -> Meeting ->Home

Tuesday: DIDN’T EVEN GO INTO MY OFFICE (Spent the ENTIRE day putting gear in road cases for Marianna, and Labeling Stuff…Claude called it Christmas Afternoon)

Wednesday: Christmas Afternoon continued -> Lunch -> Went to my office for about 30 minutes to do paperwork -> Worked on AVIOM (I’m sure I’m forgetting something)

Thursday: Again worked with gear -> Lunch -> Met about the talk -> Spent a lot of time walking between the offices and the auditorium -> Rehearsal -> Meeting after rehearsal -> realized i’m sick and had a fever ->Fever broke in the middle of the night

Friday: Worked on Website to get it ready to launch phase 1 on Sunday -> Lunch -> came back to the office for 30 minutes to realize I couldn’t win the battle I was fighting with my sinus’ ->Came home -> worked a little ->stayed doped up

Saturday: Felt much better -> Spent the entire day finishing the website phase 1 -> Hope it looks good

17 Days….17 Days until we start meeting at Marianna High School. RCC is an exciting place to work right now. BUSY BUSY. So needless to say, blogging got pushed to the “When I have Time” category. Anyway, I’ll try my best to keep this blog updated as we go through the next month and a half. However, I know of someone who will do a whole lot better job of blogging over the next month and a half: JADIE Check out her Blog.

Hope everyone had a great labor day. Jadie got to go shopping, and bought me some awesome shirts and herself some strait up 70’s pants. My wife loves vintage like a fat kid loves cake (or cookies).

Then we had the opportunity to go hang out at my boss’ house and watch FSU get beat. It was a good day.

How was yours?

You know when you see/hear/experience something that honestly just leaves you stunned and the only thing that can come out of your mouth is: “REALLY?!?!” 

I have those moments often. I would say regularly. But normally it doesn’t happen back to back. This morning it happened. And I took pictures.

Tonight @ RCC Blountstown, we helped out with an environment for Varsity Student Ministry called Friday Night Fusion.

2 amazing things happened…

1 – It occured to me that there may only be a few “molds” of people.

Jadie and I sat and people watched for a little while, and we started playing a game: Which of these students were exactly like people that we went to High School and Student Ministry with. There was a connection for almost everyone in the room…SIMPLY AMAZING

2 – Jadie is truly a night person, and will always be that.

She was officially the last one to want to leave. She could have played ROCKBAND all night if it wasn’t for me “pappaw” and my need for sleep.

It’s amazing that when you do something out of the ordinary, you always walk away seeing the world differently.

I don’t know why.

Maybe it’s our generation.

But Jadie and I seem to be addicted…yes that’s right…ADDICTED…to the internet.

Today, it went out!!!!! We honestly didn’t know what to do. I wonder what the one thing most people can’t live without is.

Internet for us… Anyone willing to admit addiction?

I think that I’ve been to either michaels hobby lobby or joann’s everytime I’ve been to a city outside of calhoun county since we’ve been married. Jadie loves her crafts.

I can’t even begin to explain how busy I am this week, or how busy I will be for the next few months. However, while I’m so focused on progress, it’s good to have a wife that takes in the journey.

Sunday, was one of the busiest days of my week; however, we were able to make it to downtown Blountstown for some cool photos. Check them out -
