I have looked at my blog site probably 5 times a day every day since my last blog. However, I have not had time to sign in and leave a line for everyone.
Today, though, I did accomplish something and this week we have accomplished alot as a church. Personally, I just finished the band schedule and song schedule through the end of November. It’s a good feeling to be ahead. We also have some really cool songs coming up ie: Hosanna (Hillsong United – All of the Above), Let Me Sing (Todd Fields – NP Live (Louder Than Creation)), Never Failed Me (Eddie Kirkland – Orthodoxy).
However, as a church we are bursting at the seams. We had 98 elementary school kids in UpStreet last week. 98!!! We have growing pains. As a church, we are reaching our community more effectivly than ever before, and we are excited. However, there are pains, and they are real. So, I’m sure I will stay busy, but I’ll try to make more of an effort to find time for blogging.
Tomorrow Rivertown is putting on an event for independence day. The “July 3rd Event” is a huge deal around here and takes TON’S of volunteers. As for the band….we have learned 34 songs…..THAT’S RIGHT 34. If you were to wander into Blountstown, Florida tomorrow night you would hear such epic tunes as: Free Bird, Carry On My Wayward Son, Pride and Joy, R.O.C.K in the USA, and American (that’s right THE Neil Diamond). You may also recognize some other cool tunes on a hot day ie: Home (Marc Broussard), The Middle (Jimmy Eat World), and Beautiful Day (U2). I’m teetering on excitement and fear. Excited to play and fear of total personal failure (I hope I can remember the songs.) Anyway, we’ll see how it works out. Happy 4th.
