I am not the guy who likes holidays. Most of the time, I just see it as another day. However, since I have moved away from home, there are a few holidays that I have began to look forward to. Christmas is one of those holidays. I don’t get excited when I think about presents, or all of the travel, or even all of the dinners (if you eat too much the first time, everything else starts to loose it’s taste in my oppinion.)

However, I really do look forward to spending time with my family. I don’t get to see them very much and it’s starting to weigh on me in this season of my life. I also get to see Jadie…that is always bitter-sweet. Sweet cause I get to see her, bitter becasue I have to leave. And Lastly, I love Tennessee. I hated it when I was growing up, but I love it now. Being away from the mountains brought devistation to the deep mountain man inside of me.

So in light of that, Sunday after church I will be putting the pedal to the metal, and making my treck through the flatlands of North Florida and Alabama, meeting the hills of North Georgia, and arriving at the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I can’t wait… Mom better stay up…
